An unidentified gunman opened fire on Wednesday at a dental clinic in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi, killing a Chinese national and wounding two others, police said.
SSP (South) Asad Raza said the attackers entered a clinic in Karachi's Sadar district and pretended to be a patient, Dawn News reported.
He said one person died and two others, including a woman, were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
He confirmed that the victim was Chinese.
Police later identified the victims as RonilD Raimond Chaw, 25, Margrade, 72, and Richard, 74. Police said the two injured foreigners were in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah ordered the immediate arrest of the attackers and said such incidents were unacceptable, according to an official statement.
He also requested a detailed report from the Additional IGP in Karachi.
The incident is the latest in a series of recent attacks against Chinese nationals in the country.
In April, a suicide bombing at Karachi University carried out by the separatist Baloch Liberation Army, which opposes Chinese investments in Balochistan and accuses China and Pakistan of exploiting the resource-rich region. Three Chinese died.
Some of the other attacks have also been attributed to radical Islamic extremist groups in Pakistan.
